Worship Committee
At the heart of St James's is a steadfast commitment to instilling the school's vision. We use our core Christian values of Honesty, Perseverance, Courage, Kindness, Friendship, Respect, Responsibility, and Forgiveness to support the children’s understanding of letting their light shine. Our vision is not merely words on a page, but it is actively woven into the fabric of daily school life.
To ensure that these vision is truly embraced by the entire school community, the school has established a dedicated Worship Committee. This committee, which includes one child from each class and two additional year 6 pupils, meets regularly to discuss and implement initiatives that bring the school's vision and values to life.
Through the Worship Committee's efforts, the school's Christian ethos is celebrated and reinforced in various ways, such as:
Curating meaningful prayer and reflection areas throughout the school
Planning and leading engaging collective worship sessions
Ensuring that the school's vision and values are visible and celebrated across the school
Leading and attending Unity service which we have planned and delivered to other schools in our catchment area
