Enrichment

At St James’s, we believe that education is about much more than what happens in the classroom. Our enrichment offer supports our vision, ‘Let your light shine – be the best we can be’, by giving every child opportunities to discover new interests, develop talents, build confidence and experience success.

Our pupils enjoy a broad range of opportunities across civic engagement, arts and culture, nature and adventure, sport and physical activity, and wider life and future skills. These include clubs, OPAL, residentials, visits and visitors, pupil leadership, community projects and curriculum enrichment.

We are committed to ensuring that enrichment is inclusive and accessible to all, particularly pupils who may otherwise face barriers to participation. We regularly review our provision, listen to pupils and families, and use the DfE Enrichment Framework to help us continually strengthen the opportunities available to every child.
