Our Partnership with St James's Church
We are very lucky to have a very strong relationship with St James’ Church in Wollaston. This partnership helps to enrich our pupils’ educational experience and spiritual growth. Throughout their time at our school, our pupils have numerous opportunities to visit St James’ Church. These visits serve to deepen their understanding of faith and strengthen their connection to our local religious community.
Our collaboration with St James’ Church allows us to hold a Eucharist service within our school premises each term. This service is a collaborative effort, led jointly by a member of the clergy, our staff and our pupils. We are delighted to welcome the entire school community, including governors, parents and the church congregation, to participate in these meaningful gatherings. In the Summer Term, we take advantage of our beautiful school grounds to conduct the service outdoors, providing a unique and refreshing spiritual experience for all attendees.
Our school community leads a Sunday service at St James’ Church twice a year. This initiative serves as an excellent opportunity to further strengthen the bonds between our school and the church congregation.
These shared experiences foster a sense of unity and spiritual growth among our pupils, staff and the wider community. We are grateful for the continued support and collaboration of St James’ Church in nurturing the spiritual development of our pupils.
