Science teaching at St James’s CE Primary School is about developing an understanding of important scientific ideas, processes and encourage knowledge through everyday experiences. A high-quality science education should inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and develop different ways of thinking. We strive to make the children confident learners and to explore values and ideas through Science. Through our teaching of Science we enthuse children to ask questions and communicate their ideas through research and investigation to foster a love of learning and creative thinking. The Science curriculum at St James’s aims to equip pupils with knowledge about how things work, life processes of all living things and how technological and sciencitific advances enrich our everyday lives. |
