Let your light shine as a scientist

Science teaching at St James’s CE Primary School aims to develop a sense of awe and wonder, excitement, and curiosity about natural phenomena. We want our children to appreciate how science has changed the lives of human beings and know that it is vital to the world’s future prosperity. Therefore, all pupils are taught essential aspects of the knowledge, methods, processes, and uses of science. Pupils develop understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science through different types of science enquiries that help them to answer scientific questions about the world around them. As a result, pupils become equipped with the scientific knowledge required to understand the uses and implications of science, today and for the future.
