As part of our Wellbeing week in January, all year groups from PreSchool to Year 6 had a Relax Kids session. In the Year 3 workshop, the children began by discussing how different situations might make them feel and how they can control their emotions. As a group they identified how to stay calm in different scenarios and how sharing a problem might make them feel better. The instructor shared breathing exercises which could be used to help someone calm down and feel better if they are worried or angry about something. All of the children then joined in with some yoga, where they followed a story and made shapes on a friend's back. Relax Kids was a huge success and was enjoyed by all! Some pupils have chosen to take part in our Relax Kids After School club too.
