Stourbridge Learning Parnership (SLP)
Our school works closely with a number of schools in Stourbridge as part of the Stourbridge Learning Partnership. Staff and children work on projects jointly in order to raise standards in all schools.
SLP lead special church services, sports events as well as ongoing staff development and training to improve teaching and learning. Each year SLP also come together to celebrate music during our KS one and two music festivals.
We are also part of the Stourbridge School Council Forum where staff and pupils from St James’s meet with those from other schools to develop joint projects. This year the SSCF has a focus on enterprise.
St James’s work very closely with Gigmill, The Ridge, Amblecote and Ridgewood schools. As a cluster we lead a series of workshops each year for our gifted and talented pupils in subjects such as ICT, swimming and music. Staff from the schools meet to moderate maths, writing and GPS throughout the year as well as sometimes sharing staff training opportunities.
